Bayesian modeling provides a flexible and intuitive framework for data analysis and statistical inference. However, application of Bayesian methods relies on computational tools that are often overlooked in introductory statistics. This workshop is intended for researchers who are interested in applying Bayesian methods to their work and provides a practical introduction to Bayesian modeling using the popular probabilistic programming language Stan.

Workshop content

  • Foundations of Bayesian modeling
  • Getting started with Stan
  • Guidance on adapting Stan to research-specific needs
  • Basic principles of Bayesian model diagnostics

Participants are encouraged to bring their own data and research problems for discussion and practical application during the workshop.
