Learn Bayes is an event series at Karolinska Institutet (KI), bringing together anyone interested in Bayesian statistics with international experts. Join us for an exciting program aimed at expanding your statistical toolbox with Bayesian methods.

The program is tailored towards users of statistics (but you don’t need to be a statistician), that are new to Bayesian methods. The focus is on introducing the foundations of Bayesian methods and their unique advantages in the context of medical research. No prior experience in using Bayesian methods is required.

You can pick and choose among the events to join and there is no requirement to attend all the event in the series. However, later events will often build upon what has already been discussed. More information under each event below.

  • Cost: None
  • Open to: Everyone (inside and outside of KI)
  • Location: Karolinska Institutet, Solna

Mailing list: For continuous information and updates about the events, please register to the Biostat email list (open to anyone, both inside and outside of KI) by emailing Marie Jansson (only for the email list).

Please direct any questions about Learn Bayes, the events, Zoom links, etc. to Simon Steiger or Peter Alping.

Resource hub: This website is the Resource Hub for the events, where you can find lecture slides, exercise materials, and further reading recommendations.

Contact person: Simon Steiger

The Learn Bayes Spring Program is organized at Karolinska Institutet by Simon Steiger, Peter Alping, Marina Dehara, Paul Dickman, and Sandra Eloranta, in a collaboration between KEP (MedS), MEB, IMM, and GPH, partially funded by grants from SFOepi.
